Melissa graduated from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art with her BFA in painting. She is the proud founder of MamaCITA – a Women’s Cooperative in the Arts – which has been championing women in the arts for over 10 years.

Melissa Borko Tevere lives and works in Jenkintown Pennsylvania with her two kids, two cats and two parakeets in a tiny two bedroom apartment where she creates art in whatever room she happens to be in.
She is also a writer and an entrepreneur and is the author of the blog The Ladies who Launch. She is the editor of two fine art and creative writing compilations, Extraordinary Gifts: Remarkable Women of the Delaware Valley and Forgotten Philadelphia: Art and Writing Inspired by Philadelphia Heritage Sites.
